1: Laparoscopic Ovarian Diathermy (LOD)
This is a technique used for patients with Polycsytic Ovarian Syndrome (POCD). Often POCD patients are unable to properly respond to Ovulation Induction. During this procedure, the woman is placed under general anaesthesia, since laparoscopic surgery is required. Parts of the ovaries are then destroyed using electrocautery or by a laser. After this procedure, patients are usually able to better respond to gonadotropins and OI medication.

2: Laparoscopic Adhesiolysis
This technique can often be used to help correct tubal problems caused by adhesions of the pelvic organs. Therefore, the hope is that this procedure can help allow normal pregnancy.
3: Hysteroscopy
This is a surgical procedure that alleviates problems present in the uterus. A hysteroscope can be used to remove intrauterine polyps, fibroids projections, and adhesions. An abnormal uterus can present problems during implantation and pregnancy; therefore, such a procedure would obviously increase the likelihood of pregnancy.

4: Colposcopy
A colposcope is a telescope that helps magnify the cervix. As a result, it helps show abnormalities in the cervix. If the area examined shows a pattern consistent with precancerous changes, the area can be biopsied utilizing surgical methods.

5: Management of Menopause
ZIFT is similar to GIFT, except in this procedure zygotes instead of gametes are transferred into the Fallopian tubes. The main advantage of ZIFT is that it uses fertilized eggs, therefore, in comparison to GIFT it is one step closer to pregnancy. During this procedure the man's semen is again collected and processed. The female undergoes ovarian stimulation and the egg retrieval procedure. The eggs and sperm that have been collected are then placed in a petri dish inside an incubator until fertilization takes place. Using laparoscopy, the resulting zygotes are then transferred to the Fallopian tubes with a catheter.
